The latest release from GL4M is a double-single inspired by contrasting, remote regions of the Americas that have Martian associations. The first track “Atacama” evokes the otherworldly appearance of the arid South American desert where snow gathers 13,000 feet above sea level as flamingos bask in salt flats near the coastline. Conversely, the second track “Athabasca” reflects the rivers and waterfalls that run through the lush yet uranium-scattered forests of Canada that experience sub-zero temperatures. Life flourishes and flounders in these parts of the world and GL4M illustrates the extremity of these highs and lows through his signature acid riffs, bouncing bass lines, and distant ambient sounds that echo into the stratosphere.
